We hope that this new year is off to a joyous start for you and your family. It is always exciting at the beginning of a fresh new year to look ahead in anticipation of adventures, friendships and opportunities that may lie ahead.
Last year, Randy and Susan Clark and their family were called by the Lord and sent out by Grace Orange to Pretoria, South Africa where they are currently serving with 1 Hope Ministries, International. The Clarks are members of Grace Orange and their children have been a part of AWANA at Grace for many years. We have been thrilled to have them as our AWANA missionary spotlight. Both children and leaders alike look forward to the monthly updates from the Clark’s with excitement as we learn how the Lord is using them to further His kingdom, how they are adjusting to a new culture and what they are learning.
This February, Grace Church is sending a team of 18 people to serve alongside the full time missionaries, the Clark and the Mack families, in the city of Pretoria. We will be aiding in a much needed expansion at the Muphamuzi Baby Home, helping to kick start an AWANA program for Living Hope Church (where the Clarks attend), staffing South Africa’s first Together For Adoption conference, and sharing the love of Christ by building relationships with the people of Pretoria.
Our greatest hope for this trip is that God will use us – however He chooses – to be reflections of Christ’s redeeming love to the people in Pretoria, South Africa. We pray that through our work at the baby home, our help with the adoption conference, and our assistance with AWANA, that the full time missionaries would be deeply encouraged, strengthened and renewed in their work. We are also praying that God would move His people in South Africa to take radical steps of faith in adopting and caring for the many orphans there and that He would use this conference as a means for that. Lastly, we are excited as we anticipate the work He will do in each of our hearts as we go. It is virtually impossible to witness what God is doing through this ministry in South Africa and not be changed.
We will depart for South Africa on February 20th and will return on March 4, 2013. As a team we are trusting God to provide finances, as we need to raise approximately $30,000 to cover airfare, lodging and all expenses for 18 travelers. We would love for you to partner with us in this opportunity, to share Christ’s love with those in need and to support the missionaries in South Africa. If you would like to give financially, please send donations to:

Most of all, we ask you to partner with us through prayer as we prepare for and embark on this trip.
